Leading
up to the MLB Amateur Draft, this 10-day event targets draft-eligible
players, underclassmen, and anyone seeking a professional baseball contract.
Designed to increase Independant League and MLB organizational exposure and enhance draft status,
players are evaluated in live games with MLB and Independent League scouts
in attendance*. This intense program is designed to open the door for the
borderline prospect who needs to sharpen his game for professional consideration. As players are being assessed and evaluated, during the event, players will earn their playing time against MLB organizational team(s). This event produced 16 players that signed professional baseball contracts in 2005.

International Performance Baseball will start it's inaugural season with a Pro Prospects showcase team in the SPLB League (www.splb.com). This event will be used as a holding and exposure bed for free agent and college players with professional aspirations. With a combination of Major League scouts, college coaches and professional Independent league personnel, IPB will have rotating staff which will benefit the development and exposure for the selected players. "We feel this is a tremendous opportunity for players looking for that highly competitive summer league that want to continue to develop and create the opportunity they have been looking for", said Matt Stark, event coordinator and roving staff member for the event.
ROSTER WILL CONSIST OF 15 - 20 PLAYERS
This Event is ALL-INCLUSIVE and Provides:

This will be a 32 to 40 game season (2nd half) which will include playoffs

Players flying in and relocating for season use Southwest for best airfare rates |

2006 PROFESSIONAL PROSPECTS TOUR
OCTOBER 13-22, 2006 - PHOENIX, AZ
This event is for players 18 and over, considered to be prospects for professional contract with Independent, International or Major League organizations. Players should have at least high school experience, college players preferred. ALL PLAYERS WILL BE SCREENED PRIOR TO ENROLLMENT. Players will receive 10 days of intense coaching, game analysis and an off season program. Scouts in attendance daily, player agents in attendance for career consultations. This is the perfect way to end the baseball year. Go into winter with a plan (or possibly a contract) for 2006!
